FAQs

IIMTT, an esteemed Montessori Training Institute in India, stands out from the rest by offering UK qualifications in Montessori Teacher Training. Aspiring teachers can select from two options - pursuing either a Level 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Montessori Education - both of which are accredited by a UK-based awarding organization recognized by Ofqual, a UK government body that oversees qualifications. As of 2020 for international students and 2021 for Indian students, IIMTT graduates are awarded a dual certification from two highly respected organizations.

The International Institute of Montessori Teacher Training (IIMTT) offers Certificate and Diploma courses in Montessori Teacher Training. The eligibility criteria for each of these courses are as follows:

    1. Certificate Course: Candidates who have completed 10+2 or any equivalent qualification are eligible to apply for the Certificate Course.

    2. Diploma Course: Candidates who hold a bachelor's degree or higher qualification in any field are eligible to apply for the Diploma Course.

In addition to the educational qualifications, candidates may also need to fulfill other eligibility criteria such as age limits and minimum marks in the qualifying examinations. It is recommended that interested candidates check the official website of IIMTT or contact the institute directly for complete details on the eligibility criteria for the Montessori Teacher Training courses.

IIMTT offers two types of Montessori Teacher Training courses, which are:

    1. Diploma in Montessori Teacher Training: A comprehensive program that covers all aspects of Montessori education for the target age group in Infant and Primary education.

    2. Diploma in Advanced Montessori Teacher Training: A program that provides further specialization in Montessori education for the target age group in Infant and Primary education. This course is designed for individuals who have already completed the Diploma in Montessori Teacher Training or have prior experience in Montessori education.

After completing a Montessori Teacher Training course, there are various career opportunities available for individuals. They can work as Montessori teachers in various educational institutions such as public and private schools, Montessori schools, and preschools. They can also work as administrators, coordinators, and trainers in Montessori schools. In addition to that, individuals can also start their own Montessori schools or childcare centers. Other career opportunities include educational consultants, curriculum developers, and writers. Montessori teacher training also equips individuals with skills that are relevant to other areas of education and child development.

It is our sincere belief that the invaluable contribution of early years educators to the development of young children cannot be fully compensated by any salary. The amount of remuneration offered to teachers can vary greatly depending on the institution, school, and individual capabilities of the teacher. However, it is worth noting that preschool and high school teachers in Kolkata typically receive lower salaries compared to those in other major cities in India. On the other hand, graduates from the Indian Institute of Montessori Teacher Training are among the highest earners, with an expected annual salary range of Rs 1-3 lakhs.

The Montessori Method of education differs from traditional methods of education in several ways. Here are some key differences:

Child-Centered Approach: Montessori education is centered around the child's interests, abilities, and developmental needs, rather than a standardized curriculum or strict teacher-led instruction. The goal is to promote self-directed learning and encourage independence and exploration.

Hands-on Learning: The Montessori Method emphasizes hands-on learning, with materials designed to engage the senses and promote exploration and discovery. Children are encouraged to use all of their senses to learn and explore, rather than just listening to lectures or reading textbooks.

Individualized Learning: Montessori education recognizes that each child is unique and learns at their own pace. Teachers strive to meet each child's individual needs and interests and encourage them to pursue their own passions and curiosity.
